Volvo Car Group’s first self-driving Autopilot car test on public roads around Gothenburg

Volvo is a Swedish company and the major business of the Volvo is the production, distribution and sale of equipment, buses and trucks. Volvo came up with a new project “Drive Me “of testing itself driving car on public routes travelling around the Swedish city of Gothenburg. In the course of the latest stage of the project the customer will travel 100 cars in routine driving condition up to 50 km around the Gothenburg on the route specified for the project. These routes are commuter important routes, including frequent queues  and motorway conditions and the modern technology carrying out well. This technology, called Autopilot.


This project involves all the key players like transport authority, vehicle manufacturers. Legislators, major city and real customers that’s why it seems a unique invention. This month the autonomous driver car was shown at the New York international auto show in U.S.

For self drive cars the Gothenburg becomes the world first place in everyday driving conditions.
