Mini has announced the new version of Mini Countryman that is definitely bigger and better than the earlier model. The new model gets four doors and a large tailgate, five seats and optional all wheel drive. On the exterior it gets the hallmark Mini body design and styling characterized by hexagonal radiator grille with upright front section. It also comes with optional alloy wheels that reduces the weight and provides better performance. It also gets extensive engine portfolio with 4 gasoline engines and 4 diesel engines to choose from. All the engines fit EU6 emission standard and offer around 190 horsepower.
The engine is mated with six speed manual transmission while automatic transmission is optional. The new Mini Countryman also sports new LED lights and offers top 5 star rating on the Euro NCAP crash test offering outstanding safety to the driver and passengers. So far Mini has not quoted the official retail prices for the new Mini Countryman but the vehicle will be available from July 2014.
