Audi Introduces New Technologies to Tron Vehicles

Tron VehiclesAudi has been involved in introducing many new car technologies that make driving experience fun and comfortable. Audi has now made an announcement that they have come up with new technologies for Audi Tron family that will make the driving experience better. Audi said that the new solutions that they will introduce in Audi Tron vehicles will strike the right balance between economy, ecology and environment requirements.

Audi has already made an announcement of the new Audi A3 Sportback e-tron which will be the first premium compact car with plug-in hybrid drive. Audi claims that this new hybrid concept will offer and combine the advantages of combustion engine with the new age electric drive technology. The parallel driveline features 1.4 TFSI engine that is working with a powerful electric motor. The power from the engine and the electric motor is transmitted to front wheels through the new e-S tronic technology. The new Audi A3 has liquid cooled lithium ion battery located near the front axle and offers 50 kilometers or 31 miles of pure electric drive with zero emission. The car engine and electric motor together produces 204 horsepower and 258 lb feet of torque. The car also offers acceleration of zero to 62 mph in 7.6 seconds and reaches top speed of 137 mph. The car will be available for sale from the end of 2013.

On the other hand, Audi A3 g-tron uses the same engine but runs on Audi e-gas which is very much identical to the natural gas. This gas is CO2 neutral and it offers optimum carbon footprint that will make this car one of the best cars for the environment.

The all new R8 e-tron Quattro will also have V6 TDI engine that produces 510 horsepower and 626 lb feet of torque. The car accelerates from zero to 62 mph in 4.2 seconds and reaches top speed of 124 mph.
